GenE-HumDi is an European newtwork funded by COST by the organization and grandholding is delegated in Fundación Pública Andaluza Progreso y Salud (FPS), which is a non-for-profit public foundation belonging to the Andalusian Regional Ministry of Health and Families. FPS provides services to the Andalusian Public Health System (APHS). APHS has more than 95,000 employees and it is responsible for the provision of healthcare to all the population of Andalusia, one of the largest regions in Europe, with 8.4 million inhabitants.
One of the main goals of FPS is to boost health research and innovation in the region, especially biomedical research. FPS is in charge of facilitating and supporting research centers and groups during the whole scientific process.
